Dr. Schreiber is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, www.abplsurg.org.
To be eligible for American Board of Plastic Surgery certification, one must complete an accredited plastic surgery residency program. This consists of very specific requirements: 3-5 years of General Surgery training in an accredited program and 2-3 years of plastic surgery fellowship training in an accredited program. Accredited programs have very tightly regulated training protocols that are very closely monitored and re-evaluated frequently. The actual certification process to become Board Certified involves rigorous testing including an extensive written test as well as answering questions in front of a panel of Board Certified plastic surgeons.
